BOTTOM POURING

  • Bottom pouring is a metallurgy procedure that involves pouring liquid steel into a mold from the bottom up. 
  •  In this process, multiple ingot molds are placed on a thick bottom plate.

  • The molds are connected to a funnel-shaped feeder tube by pipelike runners. The feeder tube receives liquid steel from a ladle.
